I think a prerquisite for dessert is that it must be an organic edible food. Twinkies fails on both counts, there's nothing organic and edible?? Laughing

if there is a nuclear disaster and twikies are THE only thing that survives... THEN we'll see who complains about organic...

and given those criteria a donut qualifies all the way!

I agree and I stay away from donuts too.

I cannot remember the last time I had one 5, 10+? No idea. I also avoid bagels not because they're bad for you but because they're generally so huge. The average bagel found in Dunkin Donuts (our regional coffee shop) has over 500-700 calories and that's without adding anything too it. A muffin from DD is just as bad.

I'm a bit of a health nut and avoid most deep fried foods, I work out 5 to 7 days a week and generally avoid red meat and count calories obsessively

What makes it difficult is that I have kids, and so we do hit dunkin donuts or McDonalds. No use in depriving the children because of my obsession.

My wife things I'm anorexic which is probably not far off the truth. I will treat myself once in a blue moon to a nice apple crisp desert - I'll have to purge it later that night however Shocked

Dude, not good.

I don't know you at all, but I would suggest you take some time and think hard about your eating habits. You should really listen to your wife, sounds like she sees something to be concerned about.

Good!

Ok, back on topic. Nobody has impressed me with anything so far that approaches Key Lime pie.

Thanks to this thread I noticed the restaurant I ate in tonight has key lime pie for their primary dessert.

I gotta get out more. Rolling Eyes

No, most desserts are anathema to me since contracting diabetes. Sad

OTOH, ketchup seems really sweet now. Wink
