Why do you believe that some Christians are willing to "earn" degrees from degree-mills or schools that have a poor reputation?

1. Well, some don't no better.

2. Since substandard schools and degree-mills tend to be cheaper, some take that route.

3. Some are told that as long as you get a degree to use in the ministry, whether accredited or not.

4. Some have been so impressed by the graduates of these schools that they follow in their steps.

5. And others just want the degrees behind their names to impress the unsuspecting and to be called "dr so and so."

but i would add

some people live close to an non-accredited and just think "hey, I'll do it cuz its convenient."

if we're doing it for our own personal ministry, or to learn more about the Lord ourselves, then I would pose the question

if we're really in it to learn about the Lord why do we care if the school is accredited?
