Interesting thought, should we follow the 10 commandments as Christians? Are we bound to them just as Israel is? We all desire not to murder, commit adultery, or worship idols etc. I suppose that means we try to follow them right.
What about #4
Keep the Sabbath day Holy.
Exodus 20:8-11
8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy
My pastor spoke on this specific commandment last week and it opened my eyes. I can safely say I break this commandment every week. Is this different then not following the other rituals or festivals that Israel was instructed to keep.
Jesus also said that came not to abolish the law but fulfill it and Matt 18 says "I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."
I'm pretty sure not everything has been accomplished yet and heaven and earth have yet to disappear.
