| I'd like the comment box to have the buttons for links, bold, italic etc. like what the main post editor has. Any suggestions? Thanks.

you have your own install right? I'm afraid it might be specific to each template you use... you could look for someone's wordpress blog that has them and then use that template - but honestly I dont know for sure...
