just letting you know that i'm having a hard time having any internet presence because things are... well.... subpar here... i'll be at full force in about 10 days or so... until then only the occassional online presence

Don't feel bead, I've had similar experiences as well. All of those were in the states, not in another country. Even though the places I stayed at advertised internet ability, I had a great difficulty connecting.

What I found is many resorts, contract out this service and when problems arise, they have no idea how to resolve the problem so they wait for the service company to show up and fix it.
